“Dear Ms. Bloomwood: Thank you for your check for €43.00, received today. Unfortunately, the check is unsigned. No doubt just an oversight on your part. I am therefore returning it to you and request that you sign it and return to us. As you are no doubts aware, this payment is already late by eight days. I look forward to receiving your signed check….”

Did you enjoy this weekend? I have  a lot of homework, so I couldn't enjoy...

By the way, Rebecca works at the magazine office,"Successful Saving". She likes shopping, but she is a economic editor.  It is very interesting. "Why don't we put information like this in Successful Saving? It's so much more useful than knowing about some fancy new unit trust which might make a profit or might not. I mean, with this scheme you start making money straught away!" She tries to learn how to save money. For example, she bought only a cup of coffee at a coffee shop.

When Rebecca and her mother came to home, she said, “Becky! What a surprise! ” She didn’t care about Rebbeca’s sense of money, but she minded her marriage. Rebbeca know Tom was always hoping she would grow up and marry Tom. To be honest, she would rather marry Martin than marry Tom. She deceived her mother and said, “You know, I’m quite busy with mu job and everything (including her money problem).” However, she had to return to her office soon.

Rebecca arrived at her parent’s house. They noticed her money trouble. Her dad said, “You know, there are two solutions to money troubles. C.B. or M.M.M., they mean Cut Back or Make More Money!!” To be honest, she almost felt sorry for Dad. It’ll be shock for him when his only daughter becomes a multimillionaire overnight. (It’s a joke, of course.) However, she couldn’t stop shopping. When she and Mom went along to a craft fair in the local school, Rebecca was certainly not planning to buy anything, but she bought ten handmade cards, each 1.50€. Rebecca calculated how much she owed to everybody, the bank, VISA, her Harvey Nichols card, her Debenhams card, her Fenwicks card... and now Suze, her best friend, too. The amount was about €6000. She began to think of how to save her debt. For example, "I could bone up on lots of general knowledge and go on a gane show." "Or invent something really clever." "win the lottery" ...and so on. They are strange ideas. After that, she'll go to her parent's house.

Rebbeca borrowed money from her friends finally. Besides, she bought the scarf of D&G. However, the scene was seen by her boss, Luke Brandon. His voice interrupted her thoughts and he frowned slightly. Then she felt, “I should have run as soon as I saw him, while I had a chance. Now, I’m paralyzed.” As a result, she told a lie to him. The lie is her aunt entered to a hospital and the scarf is a souvenir for her aunt. That was a terrible accident!

Rebecca couldn’t use her credit card because she bought a lot of fashion items. Finally, she borrowed money from her friend, Alicia. Besides, she told a lie that her aunt entered a hospital. She hesitated but she wanted the scarf of D&G. “I’ll pay you back, of course.” She said awkwardly. So until she got that scarf in her hands but she won’t be able to relax. I want her to escape the situation as soon as possible. That is “The Confessions of a Shopaholic”!!

The heroine, Rebecca wanted to be a editor of a fashion magazine, but she was belonged to the department of an economic magazine Successful Saving by her boss. She was not interested in economics, moreover, she has debt because she likes shopping. One day, she stopped to look at D&G. She was willing to stop buying the scarf of D&G, but she couldn't. As a result, her debt increased more and more. She has no house, so she lives in an apartment with her friend.96  She had a complaint about the economic department, but she has to stop shopping at first.

By the way, I read “Confessions of a Shopaholic” a few pages a day recently. Do you know this story? The novel was made into a movie and I have watched the movie. I like this movie very much. It’s the reason why I choose this book. I recommend you to watch it.

I introduce the main characters. The heroine is Rebbecca who likes shopping, but she buys fashion items every day and spends a lot of money. As a result, she can’t pay by credit card. The situation is called “Confessions of a Shopaholic”. Can she clear up this problem? Next, her boss, Phillip is an important character. I notice the love between them.

Hello! My name is Narie Otsuka. I live in Amagasaki, Hyogo, so it takes an hour and a half for me to go to school.

I belong to the classic ballet club of Doshisha Women's College and practice twice a week in Kyotanabe Campas. I have danced ballet since I was 5 years old, so I like ballet very much. There are big performances twice a year, July and December. Especially, the perfoemance of the winter is wonderful. It was very hard for me to practice almost every day, but I felt a sense of achievement last year. By the way, We're going to perform "Nutcrackers" in this winter. "Nutcrackers" is one of the famous works of classic ballet. Please come on!!

My hobby  is watching musicals. My favorite musical is "Wicked". I watched it two years ago and was moved by the story. Someday I want to watch it in NewYork. Broadway, NewYork is my dream place.

I'm looking forward to communicating in English in AES class.
